I have been a practising counsellor for 20 years. I adopt a holistic approach to therapy which means that although someone may experience emotional distress around such issues as bereavement, stress, difficulty in relationships, anger, depression or anxiety, the reality is that the consequences will be felt in other ways too. The health of the person suffers, sleeping and eating patterns are disrupted and energy and focus is lacking. The solution may therefore include looking at the wider aspects of a person’s health and well-being. Simple changes can make an enormous difference on the road to recovery.
