I offer short and long term counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples in Brighton and Hove. I work integratively, using therapeutic models such as person-centred therapy, attachment theory, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), as well as considering how the social world impacts us. I see each client as an individual with different therapeutic needs, so I work flexibly but with a focus on the relationship between therapist and client and how we can work collaboratively. A good relationship between therapist and client has a big impact on therapy’s effectiveness so I offer a free initial consultation. This gives you a chance to find out more about how I work and decide if I am the right person to support you. After the initial consultation I offer fees on a sliding scale, depending on what you can afford. I have experience working with clients in a range of settings including in schools, colleges, in the community and in NHS settings, and with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, disordered eating, relationship difficulties, and problems at work or in education. I frequently work with issues of anxiety, assertiveness and boundaries. I also have particular experience working with issues around gender and sexuality, with LGBT and gender diverse clients, with clients who practice non-monogamy, polyamory, BDSM, and other non-traditional relationships, and with sex workers.
