Sometimes aspects of our life can overwhelm us. Life events such as a bereavement, relationship/family issues, a job loss or isolation can leave us feeling fearful, stressed and unable to cope. We can also feel stuck in certain patterns that we wish to break free from. Talking about all these things can help to bring balance back into our lives and gain a new understanding of ourselves. I aim to make it possible for you to speak about things which you might not have put into words before and ask questions to help you with your thinking. Giving yourself the space to talk openly and be heard can bring about tremendous change within.I offer a private, non-judgemental setting where you can talk freely away from day-to-day pressures. My approach to therapy draws on a variety of theoretical frameworks that include; psychodynamic, humanistic, gestalt and transpersonal. I work in a holistic and relational way, seeing each client as unique and seeking an understanding of their perspective.If you have any questions or would like to book an initial meeting please contact me in confidence. In the initial meeting we would meet and talk about your reasons for coming to counselling and together consider whether continuing to meet would be beneficial. There is no obligation to commit to ongoing therapy after the initial meeting.
