I offer individual and group supervision to therapists, both those in training and those who are qualified. I supervise therapists working with children as well as with adults. I am a BACP Accredited member and supervise in accordance with the BACP’s Ethical Framework.I have supervised therapists since 2013 and have worked with over 40 practitioners to date. These have included therapists from a variety of theoretical orientations: person-centred, psychodynamic, integrative, gestalt, cognitive behavioural therapists, art therapists and drama therapists.I base my supervisory model on Hawkins and ShohetÕs 7 eyed model meaning I actively consider 7 aspects of therapeutic work: the client; the therapeutic techniques used by the therapist; the relationship between client and therapist; the therapistÕs process; the relationship between the therapist and supervisor; the supervisorÕs process; the wider context (both organisational and societal) within which the counselling is taking place.I also use aspects of Page and WosketÕs cyclical model in that I seek a clear supervisory contract, to structure each session with a mutually agreed focus, and will explicitly ask supervisees how reflection in supervision will be applied in the counselling room.I value empathy and honesty in the supervisory relationship, creating a supportive secure base from which to work. I enjoy using creative materials and techniques when helpful for the supervisee(s) to enrich clinical thinking.I offer individual and group appointments of varying lengths.
