I am a professionally trained counsellor and draw on a range of theories and techniques that best meet your needs.I offer you an experience of being truly listened to, valued and accepted and invite you to bring whatever you want us to work on together, be it for a specific problem, or a desire for personal development and greater change. I provide you with your own regular time and space where you set the pace and the agenda, and where I will commit to support you with openness and compassion.I previously worked as a family lawyer, where I had the privilege to meet clients from many walks of life. I volunteer as a counsellor at Mind in Mid Herts and I work with a large range of issues. I have particular experience of working with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress and work- related issues (including change of direction/career path), neglect, bereavement and loss (including loss of meaning or purpose in life), making sense of past experiences and major life events, disability, health- related issues and counselling support for lawyers and for carers. I hold a BACP accredited Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and I work within the BACP ethical framework, am fully insured, and have regular professional supervision. I offer weekly sessions in St Albans and London.
