I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I adopt an ÒintegrativeÓ approach. By this I mean that I draw on many different therapeutic methods and models in my work and tailor the approach to what best suits you and the topic. As well as ÒtraditionalÓ counselling and psychotherapy, I offer: Short term therapy with psycho-education Ð including a one to one intensive anger management programme for those who have problems controlling themselves when they are angry, or are troubled by having a short fuse. Short term trauma focused work – The purpose of these sessions is to reduce the present-day impact on you of past trauma – e.g. if you have suffered physical, mental or sexual abuse, including bullying; a bereavement, including a miscarriage or loss of a relationship; trauma giving birth, or an accident. Walking therapy – Useful if you want to combine looking after your body with looking after your mind or find it easier to talk when walking.
