We will work collaboratively and I can help you live more fully, drawing from your internal resources and abilities.I offer both short-term and long term therapy for adults. I work with various psychological approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.ÊIf you feel that you are trapped by negative thoughts, this is where Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can help. Unlike other forms of psychotherapy, CBT focuses specifically on the problems and difficulties that you are experiencing now, rather than issues based in the past.If you feel that you would like to make sense of your existing situation and of the feelings and thoughts and associated memories that are brought about by this situation, this is where Psychodynamic Therapy can help. In Psychodynamic counselling, these feelings, thoughts, images and even dreams can be analysed to gain a deeper understanding of how you relate to yourself and to others.I also specialise in the use of Expressive Writing as a therapeutic intervention which can offer you an alternative or additional way of expressing, processing and sharing difficult feelings. As well as working in private practice I also work in the NHS in two primary care clinics where I offer short-term counselling to adults affected by depression, anxiety disorders, stress in the work place, work-life imbalances, phobias and fears, low self-esteem and confidence, relationship issues,Êbereavement, grief and loss.
