We all go through times when life is difficult. In this fast-moving and demanding world, we often feel the pressure to be “fine and carrying on as usual, just like everyone else”, but often the truth is that we aren’t OK; our feelings are painful and confusing, and we feel lost and alone. My aim is to provide a safe and confidential space where you are able to give voice to your feelings; where you would feel heard, understood, and valued. Here, together, we would explore what is troubling you, your patterns, and how your past experiences might be influencing the present. In the context of a warm and caring therapeutic relationship, you would feel supported and strengthened, so you can make the changes which might be necessary, and find your way through.I work with clients aged 16 and above, on a wide range of presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, work stress, relationship difficulties, lifeÕs transitions, bereavement and other forms of loss such as miscarriage, facing a difficult change, redundancy, the sudden onset of poor health. My training is Integrative-Relational. This means that I believe that it is the relationship between you and I that is the single-most important factor in ensuring therapy is a positive experience for you. It also means that I draw from a range of different theories and approaches in my work to ensure that I am meeting each client where they are and providing what they need. I abide by the BACP code of ethics for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and I am committed to ongoing professional Development.
