I specialise in loss. Loss can mean many things, such as bereavement, loss of freedom, anticipating death, loss of self or your own identity, losing self esteem or maybe loss of a relationship.ÊSome people have no one to talk to, but even people with supportive family and friends can find it difficult to talk to loved ones and can feel isolated. Many people find it easier to unburden themselves with a trained professional who will receive what is said, without judgment. Some people want to address physical symptoms such as palpitations, sleep issues, panic attack or signs associated with stress.Having trained as an integrative humanistic counsellor using Gestalt, Person Centred & Transactional Analysis, I work in collaboration with my clients. This means I listen without judgement; I believe in co-creating a working relationship acknowledging that you are the expert in yourself and your life; I believe that you and your experiences of life are unique, you are worthy of respect and you have the ability to reach your full potential for positive change.Counselling is not always a comfortable process. My role is to stand with you while you explore your experience. Together we will identify the tools available to you, tools that will help you to heal and thrive. In addition, you can learn to be proactive in the regulation of your bodyÕs experience, helping you to overcome physiological symptoms, such as panic attacks, flashbacks, palpitations & sleeplessness. We may work with your dreams, with objects or using visualisation. At all times I will respect your right to decline the use of these types of intervention. Above all, this is your therapy & you will be an active participant in creating your path to a thriving life.
