Experienced therapist with almost ten years clinical experience, my background is a combination of psychodinamic, systemic, family therapy and brief therapy (strategic and solution focused). I have completed a BA and MA in Psychology and postgraduate therapy studies. I also completed a BPS approved certificate in clinical supervision that was informed by a diverse theoretic framework to prepare me to work with many different approaches in my supervisory role. I have been practicing as clinical supervisor for 5 years now, successfully working with and supporting students and volunteer counsellors both in my private practice and as a manager of more than one charity counselling services.Throughout my experience as supervisor I have supported my supervisees offering a welcoming and safe space where their practice could flourish while also the human touch could always find important space. I have worked with therapists exercising different psychotherapy modalities, involved in a variety of cases with vulnerable clients and complex situations. As supervisor, I am in charge of organising the sessions, leading the session space in a safe and positive manner, monitor performance and keep adequate reports. I also support my supervisees in the documentation and proof of supervision they need completing. The setting of my supervision sessions are both group and 1:1, usually via Skype. While my role as a supervisor is to ensure that the counsellor feels supported in their work and that the client is safeguarded, the BACP ethical framework is the standard that must always be guaranteed.Ê My supervisor fee is usually £50 per hour, I offer a concessionary rate of £40 for students.
