People choose to come to therapy for a variety of reasons. There is no particular point in life when people turn towards therapy, it is often when confronted by some sense of not being able to move forward or change.As a professional psychotherapist I provide a safe and confidential space in which you can talk in depth and explore whatever is troubling you. Together we can start to make sense of your distress. I am interested in listening to your concerns, important or troubling, which you can bring to the session; reflections on yourself and your current life, your thoughts, feelings and dreams, your earliest relationship patterns and memories of childhood. As a Jungian influenced Psychotherapist, my approach acknowledges the idea that unconscious feelings or emotions, often arising from events, relationships and experiences in our early lives, can be the root causes of current emotional problems or distress.Psychotherapy can be challenging, requiring a commitment to work through difficult feelings. It can also be enormously rewarding and enriching as you come to self-understanding. I believe that within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, real and lasting change can take place.As part of my practice I work within the NHS and the Voluntary sector, and have experience of forensic, LGBT+, ChemSex and drug and alcohol work.
